CLIENT OVERVIEW
Drovi is a networking app designed for individuals looking to connect with others and discover events in their local area. The app’s slogan, ‘That Step Above’, embodies the brand’s mission of providing an enhanced networking experience. This concept was visually reinforced in the branding, particularly in the logo design where the letter ‘D’ features an underline, symbolising a step up.
THE CHALLENGE
Drovi required a complete brand identity that would be distinctive, timeless, and versatile. The client needed a primary logo, a submark logo, and a defined colour scheme that would establish a strong brand presence across different platforms, including the app, merchandise, and marketing materials.
THE SOLUTION
My approach to tackling this challenge involved strategic branding and visual design elements that would encapsulate Drovi’s essence:

Brand Identity & Logo Design: I developed a primary logo that clearly reflected the brand’s core message. The ‘D’ with an underline was a deliberate design choice to reinforce the ‘That Step Above’ slogan, creating a visual link between the brand name and its mission.

Submark Logo: Understanding the need for a scalable and recognisable brand mark, I designed a submark that could be easily adapted for different applications, such as app icons, merchandise, and digital marketing assets. This ensured brand consistency and adaptability across various touchpoints.

Colour Palette: I selected a striking yellow and black colour scheme to give Drovi a bold and modern aesthetic. Yellow conveys energy, enthusiasm, and creativity, while black adds sophistication and professionalism. This combination not only stands out but also ensures legibility and versatility.
THE OUTCOME
The final brand identity successfully encapsulated Drovi’s vision. The client was highly satisfied with the results, and the branding seamlessly aligned with the app’s purpose and audience. Following the branding launch, Drovi officially released their app on the App Store, marking a successful milestone for their business.
